Rick Beedle
Rick Beedle is a graduate of The University of Michigan and has been a full-time Firefighter & EMT in suburban Phoenix since 2011. As a Firefighter, Rick has served as a member of the Technical Rescue Team, Fire Pension Board, Union Steward, and Employee Excellence Committee. In 2023, Rick wrote a children’s book titled “Firefighters Night Before Christmas” and volunteered numerous hours reading it in local schools, for which he received a Special Congressional Recognition.
After unsuccessfully lobbying for a colleague to receive medical retirement benefits for an on-duty back injury (in his capacity as a Fire Pension Board member), Rick discovered how prevalent back injuries are in the fire service and quickly realized that more needed to be done to prevent them.
Rick’s solution: The 
. A mobile device tailored for Fire & EMS that’s specially designed to access narrow areas where a gurney cannot fit and help lift patients off the ground. It is safer for the both the patient & operator and streamlines the lifting process by providing a 3:1 mechanical advantage. When operated by two first responders, a 300lb patient can be lifted using only 50lbs of force per person.
